The Truss Beam S.E.R.® (Simple, Economical, Rapid) is made up of a truss
that connects, through welding, a lower plate to the upper beams, all pre-
assembled in the workshop using certified welding processes. Once
installed, appropriately integrated with reinforcements at the joints
(stumps) and completed with the concrete casting, the S.E.R. Beam. It
allows you to obtain high span spans with reduced dimensions and notable
savings both in the material used and in the labor for assembling the
structures.
The Truss Beam S.E.R.® consists of a truss made with a lower steel plate
S355, upper beams and containment brackets, made of reinforced
concrete steel bars B450C. The core armor is composed of a space truss
with inverted V-shaped inclined bars (clevises), also made of reinforced
concrete steel rods, continuous bars and suitably bent at the upper end.
The U-bolts are connected to the upper beams with fillet welds and to the
plate with butt welds. Where necessary, pin connectors are arranged along
is then integrated on site with reinforced concrete bars (abutments) and
completed with a concrete pour.
The Truss Beam S.E.R. can be made without steel base as well.
Sicilferro has obtained authorization for the use of S.E.R. Truss Beams
pursuant to point 4.6 of the D.M. 14/01/2008. This authorization received
for the S.E.R. beams is the first in Italy, the result of the constant
commitment to research and development that Sicilferro has always put
into each product to guarantee high quality, a guarantee for the designers
who use it in their designs.
RECYCLED MATERIAL IN THE PRODUCT
The steel used in the creation of the S.E.R. Truss Beam comes entirely from
an electric arc furnace, with a percentage of recycled material equal to
92%, in compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (C.A.M.)
according to the D.M. 23/06/2022. Steel suppliers have supplied
