Hirock Ltd was established in August 2020 as part of the Higgins Family Holdings Ltd group of companies. Higgins Family Holdings is a family-owned business operating 12 Ready-Mix concrete plants in the lower North Island and upper South Island, five quarries in Te Matai, Linton, Dannevirke, Pahiatua, and Waipukurau. The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for Hirock Aggregates is a cradle-to-gate declaration of the environmental impacts of Aggregate and Sand Products from sites at Te Matai, Linton, Dannevirke and Pahiatua. The science-based, independently verified EPD marks an important step for Hirock’s sustainability pathway and will allow Hirock customers to make an informed choice when choosing aggregates for their next project.
