This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) covers the ReWorxTM carpet tile, with a weight of 70.3 ounces/yd2
(2.38 kg/m2). The tile consists of two layers of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) pressed together by heat.
ReWorxTM carpet products are manufactured at Shaw’s DJ facility in Dalton, Georgia. ReWorxTM carpet tile is made
from a combination of recycled and primary polyester and consists of various styles and colors. ReWorxTM is a
commercial floor covering under the collection name “Bottle Floor”. It is technically classified as carpet, but it has
properties like a hard surface floor, hence the name hybrid flooring. It is Shaw’s newest modular carpet tile
comprising of 100% polyethylene (PET) resin. ReWorx™ contains 32% post-consumer and 21% pre-consumer
recycled content. Every square yard contains 61 recycled plastic bottles. With the visual of soft surface and the
durability of a hard surface, this product is 4 mm thick and can be installed side-by-side with most EcoWorx® carpet
tiles (another Shaw carpet tile) with no need for transitions. Other attributes include non-slip, acoustic absorption,
comfort underfoot, and it is inherently stain resistant. As part of the re[TURN]® Reclamation Program, ReWorx™
can be recycled in its entirety and be made into more ReWorx™. The ReWorx™ carpet tile is intended for indoor
application in a commercial setting.
